Do I need an expansion tank for my water heater?

I have a new water heater and it leaks a little bit when the water reheats. usually occurs when I am doing laundry. the water leaks on the concrete slab from a copper pipe. I would say about 6 oz.

the company said that is due to thermal expansion and that I need an expansion tank.

Exactly what is a check-valve and what does it do?

I have a water expansion tank attached/located above the hot water heater now. What should the cost be to place the check-valve between the water heater and the 4.5 gallon water expansion tank. I just changed my hot water heater out and now the pressure release valve keeps leaking on the brand new heat?

it is a kenmore powermiser 9 and the pin in the T&P valve seems to have alot of play in it

i called there service center and they said that i need to install an expansion tank and regulate my pressure going in

My hot water heater is only six years old and is sending water out the tube off the blow off valve. Replace or

water heater is puking out the tube off the blow off valve, does this about once a week, is it fixable?
